Each walk is capped at four dogs-small enough for individual praise, big enough for canine camaraderie. Positive-only training routes and a pocketful of high-value treats come as standard. I'm fully insured, canine first-aid certified and carry spare leads, water and eco poo-bags, so you can get on with life while the dogs get on with wagging.
Most mornings we vanish beneath the tall beeches of Henbury Wood before looping onto Blaise Castle Estate. While cheeky squirrels gossip overhead, your dog rummages for hidden biscuit 'treasure' I've scattered along the path-nosework that tires brains faster than a five-mile sprint. Where the Rhododendron Walk meets the Trym brook we practise polite 'wait… okay, splash!' releases before everyone paddles home grinning.
For pups that need wide-open grass to chase balls or perfect their recall, Henbury Playing Fields are our go-to. We thread through Trym Valley's green corridor, stopping for clicker games on fallen logs and a quick drink by the stepping-stones. Your terrier learns that a booming 'come' means chicken-sized praise, not the end of fun.
Locals nickname the M-Shed stretch of Bristol docks 'Hamburg', and it's our favourite midday change of scene. Old cranes loom like gentle dinosaurs while street-food aromas test even the steeliest sniffers. We practise loose-lead walking past Banksy murals, pose beside colourful houseboats and soak up head pats from tourists. Expect a WhatsApp snap of your dog glowing like a dockside celebrity.
When paws need extra mileage we hop ten minutes by van (secure crates, AC on) to Ashton Court's rolling deer park. Recall drills stay sharp with curious deer flicking their ears in the background. If energy levels are still high, we cross Clifton Suspension Bridge into Leigh Woods for hill sprints among sweet-chestnut giants and mossy boulders-perfect for adventurous Labradors and sprockers.
Before the first paid walk I visit your home for a no-cost meet-and-sniff. We chat diets, medication quirks and favourite toys, and you can quiz me on anything from raw feeding to the best mud-proof harness. Nervous rescue? We'll start with a solo stroll so they can build trust at their own pace.
Working from home? I text five minutes before arrival so you can mute Teams and hand over the hound. You'll receive a photo diary and notes on water breaks, new friends and, yes, the day's 'number twos'.
